"Everlasting God"
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

"Selv når du sier at du ikke ser ham,
ser han din sak. Bare vent på ham!"
"How much less, then, will he listen
when you say that you do not see him,
that your case is before him
and you must wait for him,"
Job 35:14
"De som venter på deg, blir aldri til skamme,
til skamme blir bare de
som handler troløst – til ingen nytte.
Herre, vis meg dine veier,
og lær meg dine stier!
La meg få vandre i din sannhet;
lær meg, Gud, for du er min frelser.
Jeg venter dagen lang på deg."
"No one whose hope is in you
will ever be put to shame,
but they will be put to shame
who are treacherous without excuse.
Show me your ways, O LORD,
Show me your ways, O LORD,
teach me your paths;
guide me in your truth and teach me,
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long."
Salme/Psalm 25:3-5
This psalm is written by David, these days, though, I could just as likely have written the words myself. When I searched for the word "wait" at an online Bible search, I got plenty of hits. People in the Bible sure must have experienced a lot of waiting too, don't you think? My search results tells me so. The hits weren't always stories of people waiting, there also was a lot of psalms written by people waiting. Waiting upon God should be a good thing, shouldn't it? I mean, imagine knowing that you know you're doing God's plan, simply by doing nothing. Actually, it only feels frustrating. But I will wait.
Noone whose hope is in Him, will ever be to shame.
I, who have my hope in Him, will never be to shame.
He will answer, He will speak.
In His time. His perfect time.
He's the Lord.
