Ramblings of a Rainy Day

my most beloved sister and I
I DID go off on an unexpected,
short notice,
special,
wonderful,
much needed-holiday.
*
So I'm in the south of Norway,
visiting my sister at the boarding school I graduated from two years ago
(she's graduating this summer).
I left home two weeks ago, I'll be staying for one more.
*
We're having lots of fun.
I get plenty of rest.
We've had so much sunny weather,
today it's raining, but it is still beyond wonderful here.
*
No news of the visa, other than that we'll more than likely hear *something*
(not a final decision, but some kind of progress) from the Visa-office in 60 days.
*
Thank you everybody for your prayers.
It's very overwhelming that so many are praying =)
*
I'll post an update as soon as I've got one =)
*
(I'm off to making banana bread and eat it warm from the oven, while I snuggle up in warm blankets on my sister's bed, WITH my sister, to watch a movie. Perfect rainy day =)

The picture of you and your sister is beautiful, you can sense the joy and the love just watching it.
As for your visa, you already know i'm praying for you and that i truly believe that He is in charge, but at the same time I also know how difficult it is dear friend :)
What about the banana bread ? Could you maybe share the recipe when time allows ? :))
Have a wonderful week with your dear sister !

Blessings

Marianne: Eg VIL leika med deg! Eg trur eg skal til Ida-med-den-store-magen på søndag KVELD, men kjem du på dagen??

PomPom: I like your assurance =) May I adopt it?

Flavia: It's a very simple recipe. I USUALLY make a REALLY good banana bread with salted peanuts, eggs and sugar, but since I'm off sugar, and I'm at my sisters school this was a one-of-a-kind-what-we-have-in-the-cupboard-banana-bread(and we didn't have eggs). So just mash two ripe bananas with a fork, add salt, pepper, cardamom, cloves and drizzle some honey over it. Mix and add some vinegar mixed with baking soda (egg-substitute), add melted/softened butter add some rice-milk (I don't really drink that, a friend left some in the fridge) and whole wheat flour. Drizzle some more honey over and stir. Bake in a bread pan and when a knife comes out clean it's done. It was DELICIOUS. Despite what one might imagine from the ingredients list. Give it a try if you like =)

Rose: She is a HUGE blessing in my life!

Mrs. Rabe: If I didn't have any before this, I'm sure these months will teach me to be patient =)

Thank you everybody for stopping by =)

RUNNY hunny (I like the Pooh-spelling), by the way =) that's why I drizzle it. It might have been, say 1 American teaspoon (2 Norwegian ones) all together..

Tracy: THAT is a prayer I need. (not like I don't need ALL of them, I sure do)

You and your sister look so much alike. I'm so happy to hear you are having fun! I can imagine it takes a LOT of patience to wait for that visa. Hope it's all resolved soon... can't imagine why not really, even if there's a bit of bureaucracy involved.

Oh, wow, such happening! I haven't read your blog in a while, and I come back and find you engaged. Such happy news! Congratulations! Pictures of you simply beam with joy. Please do tell us your story, as you are led. :-) I for one would very much like to hear as much as you would like to share. IF you don't wish to share, that is fine as well, I just didn't want you to not share for lack of someone asking! :-)

Sarah over the rainbow: My time in blogland is running out, and very soon life will be all about living, and very little about blogging. But I WILL share that story before I kiss my computer goodbye. I promise.

Thanks everybody for the congratulations! AND your sweet comments, AND your prayers. I appreciate it so.

How beautifully said, once more you're so so wise my dear friend.
I keep praying for you, your visa and your knee, and I'm sure the Lord will sort everything out.
Have a blessed weekend !

Hello, dear friend! :0)

Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your sister. New memories made, times shared together just be-ing and do-ing the everyday duties we enjoy, but made all the sweeter because you were with her.

I have been praying for your knee and your visa. When we just rest in the plans that the Lord has for us, we can see the beauty in waiting on His time, knowing that He is working everything out together in His time. It makes the prize (your new life with your beloved) even more sweeter. :0)

Love you, dear åslaug for your trust in the Lord, for your sweet spirit and because you are my friend. ~smile~

Hey Abbie,
I though when I commented it was one of the posts below- one with pics- I guess that I was wrong :)
Banana bread...I have not made that in awhile, and it sounds so good, yum.
I am sitting eating rhubarb/strawberry crisp, so that is some consolation.
Give Sophie a big hug for me.
Love you. oxoxox, Rosie
